For many budding photographers, Leica is a brand of camera that dreams are made of. Solidly built, classically designed and German engineered, Leica cameras are amongst the most coveted in the world. So how does a camera company of impeccable reputation continue to push boundaries? By collaborating with Paul Smith, one of Britain’s most esteemed clothing designers! Here at Opumo, we love to see luxury brands collaborate.
Available from next month, the limited edition Paul Smith for Leica X2 camera combines engineering excellence and tasteful design. Paul Smith’s intricate design details can be seen in the bright orange top plate, striking yellow bottom plate and the racing green cowhide leather that enshrouds the camera’s body. Leica’s distinctive red dot symbol is already enough to get you noticed. The addition of Paul Smith’s signature bold colours further sets this camera’s style apart. Each of the 1,500 limited edition cameras produced will feature a unique serial number. Like Leica’s standard X2 model, the technical features are impressive. The camera shoots at an effective 16.2 megapixels and features a Leica Elmarit 24 mm f/2.8 ASPH lens.
If you want to take spectacular photos with a camera that looks as good as it shoots, this is the camera for you.
