A Collection from The Vintage Showroom

Posted on Friday, October 19, 2012 by AnnaA

The Vintage Showroom Store in Covent Garden, London, is a well known place for the vintage or/and denim obsessives. As one of the world’s leading dealers in vintage menswear they also have a Vintage Showroom, appointment only, where designers and stylists pay to view indigo relics, academia, sporting, hunting, motoring, military and workwear - simply walking among future work inspiration.

It all started 2007 and recently the duo Roy Luckett and Douglas Gunn released their bookVintage Menswear - A Collection from the Vintage Showroom. 304 pages and over 400 images divided into three sections: sportswear, military and workwear. Expect to see 1940s flying jackets, polar peasant boro jackets from Japan and vintage French denims. Their collection is not only great, it is presented with beautiful photos (by Nic Shonfeld) and covers history, function, shape and cut behind the pieces.

The limited collectors edition, 500 copies, is available here

Another publication worth keeping an eye on is their new publication SHOWROOM Vol.I. Find it here
