RESSENCE TYPE 1001 WATCH

Posted on Thursday, October 18, 2012 by MarkC

What you’re looking at is a watch with no hands. Yes, no hands! Instead of hands that rotate on a dial, the Type 1001 has a dial that rotates itself. The primary dial indicates the minutes, while the sub-dials indicate the hours, seconds, and time of day. According to celebrated Belgian industrial designer Benoit Mintiens, this design challenges traditional cognitive time-reading patterns, yet enhances time readability.
