Louis Vuitton + Muhammad Ali

Posted on Thursday, October 18, 2012 by KielB

Louis Vuitton has released the concluding element to their trilogy of Muhammad Ali inspired spoken word videos for the LV Journeys Campaign. The videos feature hip-hop artist /renaissance man Yasiin Bey and calligraphist Niels Shoe Meulman paying tribute to the G.O.A.T. by recapitulating and framing Ali’s finest pre-fight verbal delights. “Word” was aimed at Sonny Liston, “Dream” at George Foreman and now “Float” which captures some of Ali’s most immortal lines.

These digital representations of the campaign are both energizing and pensive, as both artists seem to thrive off the pulsing confidence of the world champ’s swagger. The enduring magnetism of Muhammad Ali’s rhetoric, presence and electrifying talent are the focal point of this series, and this latest release is perhaps the most satisfying.
